Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Transport Coordinator to oversee the daily movement of vehicles, coordinate with drivers and clients, and ensure timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a good understanding of transport operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily vehicle dispatches and transportation schedules.
- Assign trips to drivers based on delivery requirements and route planning.
- Track vehicle movements using GPS and provide real-time shipment updates.
- Coordinate with customers, drivers, transport vendors, and warehouse teams.
- Ensure timely loading, dispatch, and delivery of consignments.
- Prepare and verify transport documents, including trip sheets, invoices, e-way bills, and delivery challans.
- Resolve transportation issues such as delays, route diversions, or vehicle breakdowns.
- Maintain daily records of vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, toll expenses, and trip performance.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance and service schedules to minimize downtime.
- Monitor delivery timelines and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, fleet management, or operations.
- Freshers with strong communication and coordination skills may also apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of transport documentation, e-way bills, and GPS tracking systems is preferred.
